The municipality of Artanë is located in the southeast of Kosovo. It borders Pristina to the north, Dardania to the east, Gjilan to the south, and Lipljan to the west. There are a total of 25 villages in the municipality. The total area of the municipality is 204.25 km².
Together with the municipalities of Dardania, Klokot, Partesh, Ranilug, Viti, and Gjilan, it forms the district of Gjilan.
