The DAM Festival (International Music Festival) is one of the most prominent cultural events in the capital of the Republic of Kosovo, Pristina. Founded in 2006, DAM is an annual festival showcasing classical and distinguished musicians from around the world. It enriches the Kosovar cultural scene and fosters cross-border dialogue through music. Some of the concerts at the DAM Festival take place in unconventional locations, adding an eclectic charm to the event.
Over the years, the festival has hosted renowned musicians such as Peter Sheppard Skaerved (violinist), Luca Šulić (cellist), Petrit Çeku (guitarist), Alexander Prior (conductor), Wu Qian (pianist), Özcan Ulucan (violist), Marcio da Silva (conductor), Kian Soltani (cellist), Olga Zado (pianist), Boian Videnoff (conductor), Maria Nemtsova (pianist), Vitaly Vatulya (saxophonist), and ensembles and orchestras such as the Kosovo Philharmonia, Dhoma Arcata Stuttgart Orchestra, Mannheim Philharmonic, IU New Music Ensemble, Duel, Krakow Percussion Ensemble, and more.
The DAM Festival also features special programs dedicated to children with Down Syndrome, Autism, and those from marginalized communities, ensuring its impact extends beyond music.
