Prishtina is the capital and the largest city of Kosovo, with a total population of over 200,000 inhabitants (according to ASK, 2019). 

Prishtina is located in the northwestern part at an altitude of 653m above sea level. As Ulpiana once was, it serves as a primary continental junction. 

The municipality of Prishtina consists of 48 villages. The area of Prishtina has a long history, with archaeological discoveries dating back to the early Neolithic era. 

It is the administrative, economic, and cultural center of Kosovo. Prishtina is the top destination in Kosovo, as it boasts many cultural monuments and tourist attractions that are popular with visitors.
