On July 12, the "Ideal Prison" Museum was opened, which was once titled as a temporary exhibition and constitutes the first step towards transforming this space into a center for documenting and exposing the crimes of the Yugoslav and Serbian regimes against Albanians. In this prison space, photographs, videos, and other artifacts of former prisoners have been displayed to showcase their experiences during their stay in the prison.

The exhibition is minimalist because the concept aims to offer each visitor an experience by preserving the interior of the prison in its original form. The museum is a protected cultural heritage asset that will become one of the most visited museum institutions in Kosovo.

As a reminder of the ideals and the suffering endured, and as a testament to the torture and terror experienced by many prisoners, the prison will preserve and document our difficult history, ensuring that it is never repeated.
