The National Park Dajti is 40 km (25 miles) east of the Adriatic Sea and 26 km (16 miles) east of Tirana. The area is under joint jurisdiction between the Albanian Agency of Protected Areas (AKZM) and the Parks and Recreation Agency of the Municipality of Tirana (APR).

This park attracts many visitors and is a suitable place for family picnics, sports games, and other interesting activities. Dajti Park has a rich flora and fauna. Dense vegetation makes it one of the greatest areas in the country.

The park is known for its forests, where there are three layers of plants: the Mediterranean shrub with two sub-layers, the sedge (evergreen plants such as heather, mareja, etc.), and the gorse; the oaks; and the beech layer.

Dajti forest is considered untouched by man and, as such, has great scientific and ecological value. Its special tourist values are related to the healthy climate, clean air, dense forest, relief forms, and the wonderful landscape that unfolds from its heights, such as Tirana, the Lower Erzen plain, Durrës, and the Adriatic Sea.
